Eighth Grade Reading

Under Construction

Reading is always under construction. That's why we re-read. We wonder about what the author meant, and what we already know. And, we discuss what we read with our friends, peers, teachers, and family. What do they think? What do I think? What do you think? Reading is construction--constructing, building, creating, connecting, understanding ideas. And just when we think we've got it, some one adds an idea. We dig back into the text and begin the discussion again. Reading--a construction production.
